As part of our eyewitness works project Twentysix designed a series of apartment types built around the varying existing historic features and materials of the building. With all 97 apartments completely unique in terms of size, layout and character we were tasked with the challenge of creating bespoke high quality apartments to a set budget.
To do this we were able to design a suite of high quality bathrooms and kitchens which could be standardised and rolled out in the different apartments depending on its size or layouts
This suite of bathroom and kitchen types meant that cost could be controlled and consistency of design could be controlled and present across the entire building.
We worked closely with our network to design and deliver all the internal layouts and finishes with the final furniture package supplied by Hay.
Eyewitness works was a 2024 “Housing Design Awards” winner and was shortlisted in the “AJ Retrofit Awards” and the “Sheffield Design Awards”.
