Project Name : Vine House
Project Type : Private residential
Location : Chesire
Our Role : Architect, design stage 1-4

Twentysix were approached by a young professional couple to renovate and extend their 1950’s semi-detached house in Cheshire. The project was very much design led with the couple keen to create an open and light space influenced by Scandinavian design.

By removing a couple of ground floor walls and extending to the rear and side we have created a large open plan living space removing the compromised kitchen space and designing in a number of hidden cupboards to deal with the lack of storage

A new glass Crittall Screen has been added to the hallway opposite the upgraded staircase to help create more space and light in what is currently a very tight dark passage way.

A new sliding pocket door separates the main hallway from the new rear open plan space and disappears into an oak lined wall.

The controlled material pallets of concrete, oak timber and green lacquered panels continues into the rear open plan space which has a full glass opening corner leading to the rear garden.
